SkySpark modules

A site's deep weather history, with no API key.

Training an energy model.

rdOpenMeteo — At a glance
The problem it solves

Without weather, an energy model explains nothing; yet a site with no sensor has no weather history, and nobody can tell afterwards whether the forecast was reliable.

The work it does for you

rdOpenMeteo connects a SkySpark project to an open weather service and creates, from the site's coordinates, weather stations recognized by SkySpark's built-in weather application. It brings decades of reconstructed weather history, forecasts, and air quality; forecasts are kept by lead time, so what was announced can be judged afterwards. The open service's terms of use must be checked against the deployment context.

Benefits for you

  • Deep history from day one, even with no sensor on site.
  • No key or account to manage.
  • Forecasts are kept by lead time: you know which horizon to trust.
  • Stations natively recognized by SkySpark.
Use cases
  • Training an energy model.
  • Building a weather-corrected baseline.
